I've been a Mac user since 1985. The Mac has always been my primary desktop both at home and at work, even as my work life has evolved. I once supported Mac networks, then mixed networks, briefly Novell and Windows NT networks, then Solaris servers, and finally Ubuntu servers. I am currently a Unix Sysadmin with about a dozen Ubuntu servers that I look after. My Mac desktop typically has 20-30 terminal windows open to various servers. Before I ever had a desktop, I programmed mainframes. Well, actually, I once had a model 35 teletype by my desk at home. Not exactly a desktop, though.
