I'm a student of computer science. Programming isn't just part of my syllabus, it's more like a part of my life. I love programming the way a woodpecker loves wood. The harder the stuff, the better. I know C, C++, Java, Basic, Visual Basic and Visual C++. Among these, C++ and Visual C++ are my favourites.
I see many programmers criticising C/C++ for its complexity. But the truth is - programming itself is a troublesome task. It originated with complicated circuitry and heart-breaking failures. If the programmers of the past have messed with things like machine language and assembly language, it would be great hypocrisy to criticise C++ for being (a little) complex and still call oneself a programmer.
I'm not very efficient, nor do I have any professional experience as a programmer, but still I do yearn to be as good as Dennis Ritchie and the like.
I do not write programs for just learning something that could get me a job. I need to create something useful. I need to contribute to the development of computer science and help all those whom I can help.
I hope you'll all stand by me.
