I was using maas until I made changes to the node interfaces. Now the deployment bails out with a python error around "cloudinit _get_data_source find_source raise DataSourceNotFoundException". The node boots and I want to ssh into it to debug the problem, but curtin bailed out too early and the ssh-key is not installed, and I don't have a password for ubuntu user. I'm trying to use the MaaS Rescue mode, but it's not available in the MaaS menu. Do I have to manually mark the node broken to get Rescue mode? The documentation talks about entering rescue mode but doesn't say how.

I marked the node broken manually, and then the option to enter rescue mode showed up. Now the node is in rescue mode. The ability to ping it showed up briefly, and then went away. – user3569873 Dec 2 '17 at 11:40
