Recently I made updates through terminal via apt update as usual. Then I got the message "5 updates available" but when I executed apt full-upgrade it said "There are no updates available"

After another apt update I got the message "0 updates available"

Anyone had a similar issue?

(Ubuntu 16.04)

  • This is not an issue. Probably the upgrade was made by unattended upgrades. – Pilot6 Aug 4 '17 at 11:51
  • But I executed the command immediately after I executed apt update. Sounds quite unrealistic that the updates were made in this little time spot. Any other suggestions? – Rafael Aug 4 '17 at 14:08
  • It doesn't make sense to guess. If everything works OK, there is no reason to worry. – Pilot6 Aug 4 '17 at 14:20
  • Thank you! I was just wondering because it never happened before and because I was unable to find a appropriate reason.... but at the moment everything works just fine again. – Rafael Aug 4 '17 at 14:29
