Very often, in Ubuntu 17.04 I have problems connecting to an SSID if I am already on another one. I work as a network technician, so this is extremely annoying when I need to test different (B)SSID's. I just changed from Windows 10 to Linux, and Windows was able to change SSID properly all the time.
Ubuntu "17.04 (Zesty Zapus)"
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7265 (rev 48)
Linux olof-gnome 4.10.0-21-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 28 16:14:22 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Laptop: HP ZBook Gen2 14"
The workaround is usually to hit the Wifi button on my Laptop to disable Wireless and then enable again. But if my computer connects to the wrong network and I have to change SSID again, I have to redo the process some times. Only half of the times I am able to change SSID properly on first try. I also don't know how Ubuntu makes descisions to connect to wifi, I see no prio-list. Is it only based on signal strenght?
Here are the dmesg logs.

Once connected performance is great. Its just when making a new connection to a new network that it usually fails.
