I am using a tplink wifi adaptor. It's model is "WN823N". Someone ask about this before but the answer is not working. I think there is some problem with the driver which is given in the tplink website. Now, what can I do to resolve it? I am totally unable to use this adaptor. Please help me.

  • Edit the post to include results from terminal for lsusb I am sure that there are at least two different versions of this USB device – Jeremy31 May 20 '17 at 9:59
  • Don't want to make you more frustrated but after trying to get it working on 2 different PC's and a laptop, and with (X)Ubuntu 16's and 17, I failed every time. Next I bought a Sitecom adapter and it worked right after inserting it, no config/additional drivers required. – user680858 May 20 '17 at 12:59
  • @WillemK if lsusb showed 2357:0109 you should have looked at this – Jeremy31 May 21 '17 at 21:08
  • @Jeremy31: I think i did but it is not important anymore. Was so frustrated that i threw the thing away. :D – user680858 May 22 '17 at 5:06
