convert img6.png PNG24:img6.png) works for me as you describe. Could you please provide an example of an image where that command doesn't work? What's the output offileon the source and the result file(s)? You should probably use different file names to avoid issues when reading from and writing to the same file (and to preserve the source file in case something went wrong). – David Foerster Sep 27 '17 at 6:52
