Today I installed Ubuntu 16.04.2, I want to use extended display alongside my laptop, but it does not detect and show the other display. I searched and followed this other question on AskUbuntu but it's deprecated and no longer works - when I try to install the package mentioned it's not located

What should I do to have my second display working?

  • Try sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install nvidia-364 – M. Becerra Mar 6 '17 at 20:08
  • @M.Becerra, This i already followed, but throws the error "E: Unable to locate package nvidia-364" . – Linux-Fan85 Mar 6 '17 at 20:09
  • It is correct, such package doesn't exist in that repository. As you can see here. If you still want to fix your problem with the monitor, post a new question about it. – M. Becerra Mar 6 '17 at 20:25
