I installed Lubuntu in VMWare, and it was working great for a while until I tried to add another repository. No matter what repository I add, any package I try to install after adding the repository can't be found. At that point I saw that all the repositories I added were showing failed to fetch errors after I ran the command sudo apt-get update. What should I do? I have tried most of the fixes out there like clean, update, upgrade but nothing seems to work.

Output of apt-get upgrade:

  • Hope your Lubuntu VM is connected to internet, if not, change your VM networking to Bridged Network in VM settings. – Arijit Chatterjee Dec 23 '16 at 4:11

The problem is with all those PPAs that you added which are NOT for 16.10 (yet). As long as you remove all you should be fine. – user589808 Dec 23 '16 at 18:06
