I am trying to find a way to Root my phone, a Kyocera hydro reach.. I have a laptop running Ubuntu and I have been looking for the answer. Is there a standalone program like Odin or anything that I can download to Root? And I wanted to flash twrp recovery to it also but it won't reboot to bootloader

  • Also, you need to unlock your bootloader first from Developer Options (OEM lock). Reboot to fastboot (after ADB is installed), and use fastboot oem unlock. As a matter of fact, if you can't grasp the steps required to root phones without a toolkit, you probably shouldn't be rooting your phone in the first place. It saves quite a lot of hassle especially if you brick your phone. – negusp Nov 21 '16 at 13:30
