I am trying to install driver for my TP-Link wireless adapter TL-WN8200ND on Ubuntu 16.04.

Without installing any driver manually, wireless networks are present but when I connect it shows a status of disconnected and doesn't work.

I assume this is a driver related issue, so I tried different solutions I found:

  1. TL-WN8200ND wireless adapter is sopported on linux?

The given driver rtl8192cu-dkms wasn't present in the repository.

  1. Compile and install rtl8192cu driver

It was installed correctly but the problem persisted.

  1. I also tried installing rtlwifi-new-dkms but the problem persisted.

I don't know What to do next? Is there anything I am doing wrong or missing any step?

I found this procedure to correctly install driver for TP-LINK WN8200ND. Use this GitHub repository.

  1. Follow the installation procedure.
  2. Reboot machine (My is Ubuntu 16.04.03 LTS)
  3. Plug-in USBWIFI

and voila it works :))
