This question already has an answer here:

I installed the Windows XP and Lubuntu in my acer 3680. Until now I had no problems and could choose in the startup menu, which I wanted to use.

Now for some reason the XP partition won't show in the startup even if it shows in the file Manager.

  • Windows XP is obsolete anyway. You shouldn't be using it anymore, it has been discontinued 2 years ago. – Andrea Lazzarotto Nov 16 '16 at 23:36
  • Because my computer is 9 years old and Windows XP works fine in it – user618515 Nov 17 '16 at 13:42
