I was using Win7 and Linux, installed on the same partition(C:). Recently I re partitioned C: to add extra storage to other drive(D:)through windows. But after this, boot error: "no such partition grub rescue" is coming. Kindly anyone help me as to what to do now. I need to save both windows n linux OS.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

  • Your software setup is unclear from your description. How did you install Win7 and Linux (Ubuntu?) on the same C: drive, using WUBI? Or was the D: drive where Ubuntu was located? Please clarify. Cheers, Al – heynnema Sep 24 '16 at 17:59
  • Didn't u install it in unallocated space?@Adarsha H M.. try boot-repair from live ubuntu session and select recommend repair..see if that works – minigeek Sep 24 '16 at 18:06
