This question already has an answer here:
One day I was installing Wine in the terminal, but before the installation was finished, I accidentally logged out. when I logged back in, and ran
sudo apt-get install wine, it said
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
And then I searched online for a solution and followed the guide here: dpkg: error: dpkg status database is locked by another process
So basically I removed the lock file, and ran
sudo dpkg - -configure -a
But then when I tried to install wine again, it said
E: Could not get lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock directory /var/cache/apt/archives/
How can I fix this? I am running Kubuntu 16.04.
