This question already has an answer here:

I've got a problem on my bluetooth. When system startup there is no bluetooth indicator. I'm opened System Setting-Bluetooth tick 'Show bluetooth status in menu bar' bluetooth indicator still not showing. Then click on switch button to turned it on and nothing happened. Last i'm restart the system and the bluetooth indicator appear!

So, how can i activated bluetooth without restarting the system? i've tried Log Out and Log In again it's not appear too.

I'm Dual Boot Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 16.04. Before, i'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and there is no problem with the bluetooth.

  • Did you try to restart the service? sudo service bluetooth restart – ubfan1 Jul 6 '16 at 0:58
  • @ubfan1 yeah, nothing happened. – rezayds Jul 6 '16 at 2:25
  • Are the "Bluetooth" buttons in BOTH the title bar indicator and the System Settings/Bluetooth both in the ON position? Sometimes they seem to get out of synch. – ubfan1 Jul 6 '16 at 3:06
  • @ubfan1 No bluetooth icon in title bar. And in the system setting i cannot change it to on. The bluetooth still off – rezayds Jul 6 '16 at 3:11
