* By updated I mean that they have had updates applied. Ancient versions of install media may ship older versions but they are likely the same point release, just an updated or patched build.

Ubuntu 14.10 was the first version of Ubuntu to ship with Python 2.7.6 by default. Ubuntu 15.04 came with Python 2.7.8; Ubuntu 15.10 came with Python 2.7.9; and Ubuntu 16.04 has Python 3.5.1.
