I am trying to make my WiFi connection working on Ubuntu 16.04 (the same was happening with Ubuntu 14.04). I've already tried different solutions and reinstalled Ubuntu more than 5 times. Here are my results:
It seems that my network adapter RTL8723BE is giving problems to Ubuntu users for a very long time.
I followed the solution presented here https://askubuntu.com/a/543626/250716:
sudo -i
echo "options rtl8723be fwlps=0" > /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf
modprobe -r rtl8723be
modprobe rtl8723be
exit
and my wifi started to work but it is now super slow (way faster on Windows). I also tried this one:
echo "options rtl8723be ant_sel=2" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf
Same thing, wifi works but super slow.
I tried installing new drivers as suggested by some solutions: Wifi problems with rtl8723be in Ubuntu 14.04
sudo apt-get install build-essential git
git clone https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new/
cd rtlwifi_new
make
install
sudo make install
and I also tried these drivers:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hanipouspilot/rtlwifi
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rtlwifi-new-dkms linux-firmware
In both situations the wireless connection disappears from Ubuntu as you can see in the image below:
This image shows that I dont have wifi
I also have the PCIe bus error messages described here: PCIe bus error messages on boot and shutdown it seems that the network adaptor RTL8723BE is a real pain!!
My laptop is brand new HP Pavillon Gaming Notebook. I really need Ubuntu for my Work. All the help is welcome.

makeandsudo make installfor rtlwifi_new ?? From this link which you referedlsmod | grep ipv6try this in terminal, if ipv6 comes with some number then its working.
