When I boot my Ubuntu 16.04 liveUSB on my desktop (GTX 970, i5 4440) I get to LightDM and then everything falls apart. My mouse freezes and my main monitor (connected to the GTX 970) starts blinking on and off. My secondary monitor (running on the integrated intel GPU) shows the "Running in low graphics mode" window.

If I boot up with nomodeset my 970 works but ubuntu does not pick up on my second monitor.
