I'm using ubuntu 15.10, kernel version 4.2.0-25. My laptop is Dell Inspiron 14-3452

The problem is that I can't turn bluetooth back on once I disable it. The only way to turn enable it is to reboot.

rfkill list

shows no soft block or hard block

sudo hciconfig hci0 up

returns

Can't init device hci0: Connection timed out (110)

ifconfig shows the hci0 bluetooth device, but when I type in lsusb it doesn't show any bluetooth devices

$ lsusb

I've tried rfkill unblock bluetooth, editing /etc/rc.local and nothing works.

  • try turning on after running this command sudo modprobe btusb && sleep 5. report if it works or not – Edward Torvalds Feb 4 '16 at 7:36
