When I installed bumblebee and the nvidia-340 drivers Ubuntu booted into a normal session. On the next reboot, after running glmark2 with optirun in the previous session, the normal x session would not start up and I instead got a screen with the message "The system is running in low-graphics mode". If I lock the xorg.config that is generated to a blank file with

$ chattr +i /etc/X11/xorg.config

I get to the login screen but as soon as I log in something crashes and I am returned to the login screen once again.

The Xorg.0.log befor low graphics mode
