excuse me for my bad english.

I am trying to reinstall Ubuntu touch on my mx4 ubuntu edition device. I have tried to follow this tutorial:here step by step but I am unable to get it right.

I thought if I use this command: ubuntu-device-flash touch --wipe --channel=ubuntu-touch/stable/meizu.en--bootstrap I also tried the meizu.zh channel that would reinstall Ubuntu touch on my device, so I would have a clean Os.

I constantly get the error:

Cannot cleanup tree to ensure clean deploymentexit status 255.

What is going wrong here?

I really would like to reinstall Ubuntu because I have broken my system. I like to play around (best way of learning things). I am also stuck in a read-write file system. I would like to go back to a read-only filesystem.

I am also unable to enter recovery mode. If I try, the device will hang on the Ubuntu logo screen forever.

I have basic knowledge about this subject. I apologize if I have something wrong.

Thank you for your support.

You can reflash Ubuntu Touch from SP Flash Tool. For do that you need the ROM of Ubuntu Touch and the tool with drivers for Windows.

When you have all:

  1. Turn off the phone
  2. Open "Device Manager" and plug in the phone to the usb port of your PC
  3. Select fast the pop-up "MTK65xx" and upgrade drivers (the driver folder is "Hard reset" on "Drivers&Tool"
  4. Unplug the phone
  5. Open SP Flash Tool(Drivers&Tool folder) and select the scatter of the ROM
