When i try to uninstall VSFTPD it shows me the same error:

 sudo apt-get purge vsftpd

I have already checked the said article here and this too.

  • In terminal type: sudo service vsftpd stop, after that type: sudo apt-get remove --purge vsftpd – user420734 Aug 7 '15 at 12:59
