I have a Dell Latitude that I use for work, requiring me to run Windows. I've opted for Kubuntu and VMWare. I have the strange situation in which I can no longer connect to the internet (ping 8.8.8.8 doesn't even work) from my Host Kubuntu installation. The strange thing is, I can connect just fine from the VM running on top of it.

Granted, it only works on the VM in bridged mode -- so there is probably something about the way Kubuntu is configured, but I'm not smart enough with Linux to figure it out. The problem seems to exist for me regardless of location.
