Few days ago I've taken broadband connection. I set up the DSL cable connection from network manager and using the username and password I could perfectly connect to the internet. But I found that I can't access into any .wordpress.com blogs and some other websites. It shows just loading but the webpage doesn't appear.

I am using ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Here is the output of ifconfig

Can anyone help me please?

  • Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! ;-) Could you please go to a terminal by pressing [Ctrl][Alt][T] and type ping -c 4 wordpress.com and traceroute --max-hops=10 wordpress.com. Then edit your question and copy-paste the output of the command into your question. – Fabby Feb 23 '15 at 13:48
  • You may need to install traceroute for that. – Jos Feb 23 '15 at 13:52
  • traceroute is already the newest version. @Jos – Abdullah Al Imran Feb 23 '15 at 13:54
  • To make sure that it isn't a browser issue, try wget http://wordpress.com and see if it stores any data (should load 17383 bytes, currently). – Jos Feb 23 '15 at 13:56
  • @Jos I've added the output of wget http://wordpress.com Please check it out. It just downloads index.html file only. – Abdullah Al Imran Feb 23 '15 at 14:02
