Up until now I mostly used Windows and Mac, but due to work I need to pick up Ubuntu 14.04 in a short period of time. Could anyone suggest an introductory book on Ubuntu which assumes none or very little pre-knowledge, please? In particular, some basics to work in the terminal. Thank you!

  • @Virusboy: they still work and I'll be adding more books later! ;-) – Fabby Feb 10 '15 at 8:28
  • @Virusboy either that or close as offtopic. Take your pick. – muru Feb 10 '15 at 8:50
  • it's not the answer for your question but for me it was very interesting to read: linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm – DJCrashdummy Feb 10 '15 at 8:50

Try this website which teaches you about linux commands which you will require at certain point. http://linuxcommand.org/

May I suggest Ubuntu for Dummies as a possibility for consideration?
