can you still login into windows? If yes, try to do - via command prompt run as admin - chkdsk C:\ (do it for C and repeat it for every other disk you can see from windows).

  • I am a new user of ubuntu, please help ?! – Abd Elrahman Mohsen Sep 5 '14 at 0:44
  • In Ubuntu open a terminal and write "sudo ntfsfix /dev/sda5" (w/o quotes): it's possible that after the check (if successful) you can mount your hard disk (NOTICE: I've written /dev/sda5, a little above, because you reported it as /dev/sda5; please, check carefully that your win hd is /dev/sda5, before launching the above command) – Silvia Sep 5 '14 at 7:14
