After upgrading from 23.10 to 24.04 the labels of various items on the settings menu simply disappeared . The buttons are still working but, since they are empty, I need to click on each of them to find their function.

Changing between dark and light style doesn't change the behavior.

Similar problem. I have a fresh install of 24.04 LTS. All updates. My labels on folders and files disappear when I click in another location. I can get them back if the mouse cursor touches the icon (no click required). Happens in both light and dark themes. System comes up mostly blank and nothing I do makes it readable.
