i bought a USB wifi dongle for my desktop computer. This works fine in windows 10, but when i try in Ubuntu 20.04 nothing happens. I have problems to detect what drivers i need.

Here is the page of the wifi dongle.

I see that the page have the drivers for linux, i try to compile it but i have too many errors when i execute make command (probably because the drivers are outdated?).

Some commands output:

uname -r -> 5.8.0-44-generic

lsusb ->

  • Most Wi-Fi hardware is recognized out-of-the-box. It's been rare to require users to compile drivers for at least 15 years. Advice: Return or exchange the device for a different model that is automatically recognized. – user535733 Mar 2 at 1:21
