I'm trying to use the menu key as a mod key on my PC on i3. I'm currently using ubuntu 18.04. I tried to identify the name associated to the menu key to bind it on i3 but failed to do so. I installed screenkey and ran the command

xev | grep -A2 --line-buffered '^KeyRelease' | sed -n '/keycode /s/^.*keycode \([0-9]*\).* (.*, \(.*\)).*$/\1 \2/p'

(command taken from How do I check which key is pressed?)

In both cases, pressing the menu key did nothing at all, nothing appeared on screen as if no key was being pressed. Any idea on how to enable this key ?
