I am using Ubuntu 20.04 with Gnome 3.36.3 and Eclipse version 2020-06.
I want to change the icon for the Eclipse application. It is quite easy do so with Alacarte for the launcher and the menu, but whenever I start the application, the icon in the top panel is the old ugly Eclipse icon and doesn't match the one which I changed in the app menu.
Altering the icon location path in the eclipse.desktop file didn't help, neither did editing the icon.xpm file in the Eclipse installation folder /home/user/java-2020-03/eclipse.
I have searched my entire machine for icon.* and eclipse.*, but unable to find any image file I could possibly edit to change the panel icon.
Any ideas?
