Firstly, new to the command line. I downloaded the most recent SRA toolkit from the source. After installation, I unzipped the file and changed the working directory to the 'sratoolkit.2.10.8-ubuntu64' folder. Then I ran the following command 'sudo apt-get install sra-toolkit' which gives the following output:

Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done Package sra-toolkit is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source

E: Package 'sra-toolkit' has no installation candidate

I tried downloading he toolkit from the terminal (before going to the source) with the same 'sudo apt-get install sra-toolkit' command, but i'm aware this only works on older versions of Ubuntu (i.e 18.04).

Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong here?

Thanks!
