I'd like to have permanent 'CHMOD777' permissions on all new files into a samba directory, so that everyone has read/write to the existing and new files there. How do I set this? Is there a terminal command I can run?

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

  • I don't understand the question. Are you mounting the samba share from your machine and want all users on your machine to have r/w access. Or is some client accessing your samba share and you want all users across the network to have r/w access to the share. – Morbius1 May 21 at 12:26
