I've been using Ubuntu 20.4LTS for a bit now and found that either clicking suspend in the power controls or typing sudo systemctl suspend in the terminal does not suspend (sleep) my pc properly. If suppose say I came back to my pc with in the next 5 minutes it would be fine. But if I came back within an hour it would be like I had shut it down. Don't know whether it is my hardware or not. It used to work before in Ubuntu 18.04LTS perfectly, back then I could sleep it overnight and it would be fine. Now it won't even last an hour.

Hardware

  • AMD FX-6300
  • 16GBDD3 RAM
  • Gigabyte GA-78LMT USB3
  • MSI GTX-750TI 2GB OC
