When I plug in the HDMI cable, I get the popup with display configuration. On the screenshot you can see the window, but in the dropdown that says "Laptop" is no other option.

When I try to run nvidia-settings, all I get is a small windown with only "Prime Profiles" in the left menu and nothing else. But there is a error message in console Unable to load info from any available system

Laptop I'm using is a Lenovo Thinkpad P53 with nvidia quadro T1000. I'm running latest Xubuntu 20.04 with nvidia-driver-440 proprietary tested driver
