I'm trying to configure a VNC server that would show the current session / screen. This part can be done with vino or tigervnc-scraping-server (x0vncserver). This work fine.

My other requirement is to send the image as 8bit color depth by default to preserve bandwidth. Unfortunately, I didn't found a way around that. With vncserver there is the parameter -depth=8 but this parameter is not available with x0vncserver.

I know this can be configured on the client side, but my users usually just click vnc:// links so they don't receive the prompt to configure color prompt. This is why I want to configure the default color depth on server side.
