I clean installed Ubuntu 19.10. The sound settings only shows Dummy Output and no Input devices, same in pavucontrol.

When I check the available audio devices

lspci -v | grep Audio

gives output

00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH cAVS (rev 10) (prog-if 80)
01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GL High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)

but when I check the devices detected by ALSA

aplay -l

it only shows one device

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 2: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
 Subdevices: 1/1
 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Here is the ALSA Information Script generated by my system.

For some reason alsa won't recognise this onboard audio card.

I have tried reinstalling alsa, dkms, also updated to the latest kernel. Audio works perfectly fine on Windows so the device itself seems to have no issues.
