I have Ubuntu mate installed on my laptop, which is connected to a router using WiFi (wlp1s0). The laptop shares its connection through a UTP cable using its enthernet card (enp2s0) with the built-in "share connection" option to my main computer. Sometimes, rather often, the laptop stops sharing the connection, while maintaining it's own internet connection with the router. I have to reconnect the WiFi in order for my main computer to get internet again.

  • Laptop is still connected to the router, and has internet.
  • Unplugging and plugging the ethernet UTP back in the laptop doesn't seem to fix the issue.
  • Both interfaces (wlp1s0 and enp2s0) are up and running by checking it with ifconfig.

What should I try?
