I installed the 'La Capitaine' cursor customization, but I'm having trouble with some apps that doesn't show the cursor the way it should. I found that the apps that the cursor doesn't work well with, are Snapcraft.io apps.

Do anyone know if there's a fix? Thanks!

  • Classic snaps can read your chosen settings and decide if they use the theme packaged within the snap, or your chosen one. Confined snaps however have very limited capabilities to use your chosen defaults and use only the theme/cursor/icons packaged within the snap. You are somewhat limited with what you can do with confined snaps (as it's security that stops them from reading files on your file-system thus being able to read what you want to use), are you asking about confined or classic snaps? Where you install your theme too may matter. – guiverc Dec 29 '19 at 7:11
  • Snaps can use many GTK and QT themes, but not all. Example in a bug report: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1833611. This isn't really a "tweakable" issue...somebody needs to spend time troubleshooting why it doesn't work. File a bug report with the theme's github bug tracker "does not work with snaps" and open a thread on Snapcraft.io "does not work with La Capitaine theme," and make sure each links to the other. – user535733 Dec 31 '19 at 0:26
