I need to screencast at scale, I can create AWS EC2 instances and get mostly there except for sound. The issue is that the Ubuntu image for EC2 comes void of a sound card or a virtual one as far as I can tell.
Q: How can I simulate a sound card on an AWS EC2 instance such that the following will capture sound?
> ffmpeg -video_size 1024x768 -framerate 25 -f x11grab -i :0.0+100,200 -f alsa -ac 2 -i hw:0 output.mkv
I've read something about snd-dummy but can't find anything recent about it. I've also found jackaudio but that doesn't look like a fit as well.
