I'm running Eoan Ermine on my desktop. When I plug in my phone, nothing happens. The phone indicates it's "slowly charging", but will not pop up with USB connection options like it does on my other computers. When I go to the USB connection options in settings, they are greyed out. I know this isn't a problem with my cable or the phone because:

  • I have tested the phone on other computers (including a laptop running Eoan Ermine) and the phone pops up with USB options which allows me to transfer files to my computer.
  • I have tested with multiple USB cables, all of which are known to work.
  • I used to be able to connect to this particular desktop in the past, but haven't been able to do so in a few weeks (I'm not sure exactly what happened, perhaps a software update or change in settings).

I'm a bit stumped as to where to start debugging. When I google for advice, all the information I find is related to a bad USB cable. However, I know this is not the issue I'm experiencing. It's likely some software or system issue.

Any debugging advice is greatly appreciated.
