I have old 32-bit hardware. I want to install ubuntu 18.04 mini iso without internet because my LAN card not working so does anyone know how to install mini ISO offline thanks.

  • It doesn't make very much sense for the minimal ISO to be installed off line. It is not intended for the task, besides, both the server and desktop editions are available for 18.04. Nov 1 '19 at 11:29

    If you don't have internet, and only x86/i386 - I'd suggest using a flavor, esp. a light flavor like Lubuntu or Xubuntu 18.04 LTS (they did have x86/i386/32bit). Note: other flavors had i386/x86/32bit ISOs too; it wasn't an option for Ubuntu desktop (GNOME) or Server

  • @guiverc To the best of my knowledge, Ubuntu-Mate, Xubuntu and Lubuntu are available, and I also doubt you are unaware of that. Nov 1 '19 at 11:32

    That was intentional to show that the Ubuntu Minimal CD must have a working internet connection in order to be able to download the required packages, otherwise the Ubuntu installation cannot proceed.
