I have a 80 mm thermal USB printer connected to my Ubuntu and it has been automatically detected since I can see its name in the printer list. However, I'm not able to print nothing from gedit (just for a test).

I downloaded the Linux driver from the Manufacturer (Nippon Printer) and it's just a single file libNPrint.so.1.2 without any documentation. How can I install the driver?

Is I launch dmesg -d I get:

[ 422.674671 < 7,758140>] usb 3-3.1: new full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd

But I still can't print anything.
