My Windows 10 was crashing a lot so I switched to Ubuntu last month. Everything works nicely except for one thing. When I try to copy files to my USB it freezes. It happens when I copy large files, I was copying 6 GB of data last night to my USB and it stops/freezes after a few minutes. So I removed my USB and put it again and copied 2 GB and then remove it again and copied another 2 GB and...

Anyone knows why this is happening to me and how I can fix it?

My PC:

  • Dell laptop
  • Ubuntu 18.04
  • 8 GB ram
  • i5 4gen
  • 1 TB hard disk

The USB is new and works perfectly on my desktop Windows pc.
