Whenever I attempt to put my computer to sleep, it seems to turn off the monitor/display only. E.g. the fans are still powered and my power LED is still solid (as opposed to blinking).

This is true when running the command systemctl suspend -i or when choosing the "pause" button on the main menu.

OS: Ubuntu 18.04

Hardware: Lenovo 900 Yoga

Edit: It seems to be in a partial sleep, in that some tasks are paused. E.g., the script below seems to pause when it is "sleeping":

for i in {1..50}
do
   sleep 1
   echo $i
done
