I just installed a 18.04 Xubuntu on my computer. I also have a Windows10 in dual boot on it.

I am trying to use my PDP controller (an unofficial controller xbox360-like) under Xubuntu. I works well under W10, so that's not a hardware problem.

I did:

Install the xboxdrv package

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xboxdrv

Disable the xpad driver

sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
# This file lists those modules which we don't want to be loaded by
# alias expansion, usually so some other driver will be loaded for the
# device instead.

# As saw in
# https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/07/dealing-with-xbox-controllers-in-ubuntu
# try to disable the xpad driver
blacklist xpad

Reboot the computer

Check if the xpad driver is disabled

lsmod

I'm clueless. It's the first time I try to do something like that, so maybe it's because I don't know something that I can't find what to do.

If you have any suggestion or help, I would be super glad to read it!
