How do I solve this issue?

  • There's no camera listed which means it isn't using USB internally. Can you try lspci and then edit and update your question (Please use {} and paste inside to format it as code). – GabrielaGarcia May 14 at 11:23
  • I believe your laptop is dual-booted. Is your webcam detected in Windows 10? Does it work in Windows 10? Please post the output of the following commands: 1. ls -lh /dev/video* 2. lsmod | grep uvcvideo and 3. dmesg | grep -i "Camera" – Marmayogi May 16 at 4:20
  • Please restart you computer and press del key to enter into BIOS setup screen. Look through the BIOS options for an entry labeled something like webcam, integrated camera, or CMOS camera. Do you find any such entry? If so, is the webcam enabled? – Marmayogi May 16 at 5:02
  • There is no such entry. – Theodore Poulogiannis 2 days ago
  • 1. ls -lh /dev/video --- No such file or directory – Theodore Poulogiannis 2 days ago
