I'm doing the setup for a server monitor called php server monitor, I've reached the final steps of the settup and reached a problem.

When I open it up I get this error and I was looking for opinions on what the problem could be.

The Error:

  Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in
  /var/www/html/phpservermon/vendor/symfony/config/Util/XmlUtils.php on line 52

I've looked through the file and tried to figure out the problem, here's the line in question:

  $dom = new \DOMDocument();

It says the Class can't be found, but that's pretty weird since the code came from the downloaded material for the program (I think I never used this file in specific).

I've tried looking through the code of the file seeing if something was wrong, but if it was a syntax problem, it wouldn't show that error in specific.

PS: I've writen this post before and it might be related to that, Php Server Monitor - Uncaught Error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found

  • and you installed the dom package for php? – Rinzwind May 2 at 10:04
  • maybe it's that, I thought it came with the base php installation. Gonna try to download the DOM package – PAPARIPA May 2 at 10:07
  • This worked, thanks I got another error though it says it couldn't find the driver in /var/www/html/phpservermon/src/psm/Service/Database on line 525, and it was unable to establish database connection. I'm gonna search for the driver and install it. If you think I should do otherwise warn me pls, I'm a newbie at working with linux – PAPARIPA May 2 at 10:26
