I have wiped my macbook air and installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu 19.04. All my devices work except for the wifi. I am able to get bluetooth and use my apple keyboard's special keys while in ubuntu, but not my wifi card. Does anyone know how to get the wifi to work?

Have you checked if there's an additional driver available for it? open the "Software and Updates" application, click additional drivers, and see if your wireless chip is listed. I had a similar issue on my 2009 Macbook Pro A1278; the live install even had the drivers already, but I had to add them after booting the first time. – Minty Apr 29 at 12:22
  • I tried that, however it says the device is not working in the additional drivers tab – harshmoney Apr 30 at 15:17
  • Please edit your question and post output of the following commands: 1. nmcli device, 2. sudo lshw -short -class network, 3. networkctl status and 4. rfkill, and 5. ls -l /etc/resolv.conf – Marmayogi May 5 at 2:12
