I have Ubuntu Desktop 18.04.2 LTS and I have this "problem":

Sometime I need to turn OFF Wifi and Bluetooth. When adapters are turned OFF and I restart the computer, adapters automatically turn ON. Is it possible that adapters remember previous status and not automatically turn ON or OFF?

Thank you.

  • Issue commands: 1. sudo rfkill block wifi and 2. sudo rfkill block bluetooth. This will solve your problem. If you want to turn on, issue the command: sudo rfkill unblock all . Or individually sudo rfkill unblock wifi and sudo rfkill unblock bluetooth. Another way for bluetooth is sudo systemctl disable bluetooth.service to disable completely and sudo systemctl enable bluetooth.service to enable again. – Marmayogi Apr 15 at 10:37
