After reading through the Netplan docs a few times, I still don't think I found this specific situation addressed.

I have a number of hardware devices with their own DHCP class, these devices are aware of a "magic bit (or string)" option in their class declaration. When this "magic bit" changes, the devices know to grab their firmware update file from a specific port.

With Netplan, I have not seen anywhere to include/declare this class option. It seems like Netplan does not use the class approach at all.

I did not see this covered in Netplan's 'Examples' or 'Reference' section or in any AU posts. Most info I have found point to this functionality not currently included in Netplan, is that correct?

Is there a way to assign this DHCP class option to these devices?
